Former J&K CM Farooq Abdullah opens fire at event, 1 arrested

New Delhi: A shooting incident took place at an event attended by former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah and deputy minister Surinder Chaudhry, according to Jammu and Kashmir police. A person has been arrested in connection with the incident, ANI quoted police as saying. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. According to reports, a man opened fire on the JKNC chairman as he was returning from a wedding.(More details awaited)
