Some groups do not adhere to this schedule:
People who started receiving benefits before May 1997: These recipients typically receive payments on the third day of each month, regardless of their date of birth. In February 2026, their payments were sent out on Tuesday, February 3rd.
SSI recipient: SSI plans typically pay out on the first of each month. Since February 1st falls on a Sunday, payment will be advanced to Friday, January 30th.
Dual Beneficiary (SSI + Social Security): People who receive both benefits get their SSI payment on January 30 and their standard Social Security payment on February 3.
