Experts raise 5 ‘red flags’ about Trump’s health during latest Walter Reed visit

Donald Trump He had his annual physical at Walter Reed Hospital on Tuesday and said in an update from Truth Social that the results were “perfect.” But many still found his argument unconvincing.

The president of the United States has made headlines for falling asleep at public events, most recently during Memorial Day services at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday. but White House Although The Daily Beast reported after analyzing Trump’s evening social activities that the US president averages about four hours of sleep a day, it downplayed this. The buzz around it persisted even though the White House didn’t pay much attention to it, given Trump’s repeated fall asleep.

That trend continued Tuesday when Trump underwent a physical. It’s worth noting that for Trump, the results of the physical usually come in the form of an update from the White House doctor, but that hasn’t been released yet. However, the White House has not confirmed whether it will release the results of the medical examination.

Many experts have raised red flags about Trump’s health, indirectly accusing the White House of a cover-up, due to a recent history of sleeping at public events, a confirmed chronic venous insufficiency diagnosis and his admission earlier this year to undergoing a CT scan.

Experts raise five red flags for Trump’s Walter Reed visit

1. Doctors’ “miraculous” claims

In an interview with CNN, Washington Post reporter Brian Kerry questioned the glowing health assessments repeatedly issued by Trump’s doctors. Kerry recalled an Oval Office meeting between Trump and Dr. Walter Reed, in which he asked one of the doctors directly whether Trump was healthier during his term as president than former President Barack Obama.

According to Kerry, the doctor responded without hesitation that Trump was healthier. “Doctors are either under the thumb of Donald Trump, or they’re seeing something really miraculous,” Kerry said.

2. Higher doses of aspirin

CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta expressed concern about Trump’s dose of 325 milligrams of aspirin, which is significantly higher than the standard 81 milligrams of low-dose aspirin typically used for preventive care.

Gupta said the White House didn’t know why Trump needed such a strong dose. “He said he wanted blood that actually wouldn’t clot, but that might cause concerns in terms of bleeding,” Gupta explained on CNN. He added that the higher dose might explain the visible bruises on Trump’s hands.

3. Sleep pattern issues that doctors are most concerned about

Dr. Jonathan Lehner, a professor of medicine at George Washington University Hospital and Dick Cheney’s former cardiologist, pointed to Trump’s repeated incidents of sleeping in public as a serious problem.

“The president has severe daytime narcolepsy. He falls asleep constantly,” Reiner said during the CNN discussion. He also disputed the White House’s explanation for the swelling and bruising on Trump’s ankle, noting that previous tests reportedly did not show edema. He expressed concern it could be a sign of “serious illness”.

4. CT scan details are blurry

MSNBC contributor Dr. Vin Gupta criticized the confusion surrounding Trump’s previously disclosed CT scan. Gupta pointed out that the White House doctor initially said Trump had received an MRI, but Trump himself later corrected the record and said it was actually a CT scan.

“How could doctors, especially the president’s doctors, not know what advanced imaging tests their patients were undergoing?” Gupta asked.

He also questioned past White House health reports, calling Trump’s health “surprisingly good” and comparing his physique to that of an NFL linebacker. Gupta believes such descriptions sound more promotional than medical.

5. Repeat false election claims

Journalist Scott McFarland raised another concern related to Trump’s repeated claims that the 2020 election was rigged. On his podcast, McFarland cited a Reuters report saying Trump had repeated false election claims more than 100 times in the past six months. MacFarlane said the recurring focus on the 2020 election may be indicative of a broader perception problem.
