Coach Sahab’s smile looks great on you, intensity and smile is a killer combination,” Dhoni posted on Instagram after the win.Responding to the news, Gambhir said he appreciated the move but explained that the intense pressure during a global tournament makes it difficult for players and staff to express their emotions openly.
“It is very difficult to be in a situation that people have never been through. But the post he made in this regard is good for him,” Gambhir told ANI. “When you are in the dugout, there is a lot at stake. There are always big expectations from the Indian team and even if you want to laugh, you can’t, especially in a tournament like the World Cup.”He added that expectations from Indian cricket are high and failure, while part of the sport, is generally considered unacceptable.“Unfortunately, in India, losing is not an option, but it can happen. If losing was not an option, India would have won all the World Cups. But that didn’t happen,” he said.India completed a historic title defense with a 96-run victory over New Zealand in the final, making India the first team to win the T20 World Cup on home soil and the first team to lift the trophy three times.
