Etihad Chennai-Abu Dhabi flight canceled after wing caught fire during takeoff preparations

Airport officials said the plane was preparing to take off when the pilot noticed the fire and immediately stopped the entire process.All passengers were safely off the plane and no injuries were reported, officials added.

The fire was quickly brought under control

Firefighters rushed to the scene and quickly extinguished the fire on the plane’s wing, the Press Trust of India reported.Authorities said the incident was handled and no passengers were injured or damaged, and the flight was subsequently cancelled.Officials have not yet revealed the cause of the fire or whether an investigation into the incident has been launched.
