Erika Kirk says ‘enough is enough’ days after meltdown at WHCD shooting scene: ‘I’m taking my time…’

Erika Kirk broke her silence on the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting in an X post where she was seen breaking down after shots were fired. “Saturday was yet another painful example of the continued increase in evil and political violence in our country. I am taking time to spend with my family,” Erica wrote.

“I will be on The Charlie Kirk Show Wednesday at 12 noon ET to give a brief account of what happened. Enough is enough,” she added.

AllenThe 31-year-old currently faces two charges of using a firearm during a violent crime and one count of assaulting a police officer with a dangerous weapon after breaching security at the Washington Hilton.

A video shows Erica in tears as she is escorted after the April 25 shooting. “I just want to go home,” she said through tears, walking away quickly with two men on either side.

After the video was exposed, netizens expressed their sympathy for Erika. Her husband, Charlie Kirkwas shot and killed at an event in Utah last year. Charlie, 31, was allegedly killed by Tyler Robinson on September 10 while attending a campus event in Utah. According to a statement from Utah Valley University (UVU), the shooting occurred around 12:20 pm local time during a student Q&A event at UVU in Orem.

Meanwhile, Acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche said in an interview with NBC media on Sunday, April 26, that Allen’s motives were still under investigation, but “preliminary” findings indicated that he targeted government officials, “possibly” including Trump. Branch added that investigators were looking at reports that Allen was assembling weapons at the hotel, stressing that he “didn’t go that far.”
