The EC also sought legal advice on the matter.Addressing an election rally chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Krishnadas claimed that the LDF and UDF were closely associated with the Samajwadi Party and Jamaat-e-Islami and voting for either front would lead to widespread incidents of “love jihad”. He further claimed that if UDF or LDF came to power, JEI or SDPI would control the government.Krishnadas claimed that pro-Pakistan extremist groups would actively promote “love jihad”. “Hindu and Christian girls are drawn into ‘love jihad’.
