As Ramadan approaches, Global Village has confirmed Ramadan hours and events, setting the stage for an evening centered around culture, food and togetherness. The destination, now in its 30th season, opens daily at 5 p.m., closing at 1 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday and extending until 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.Starting from the first night of Ramadan, Global Village will shift to a night-centric rhythm, welcoming families and groups wishing to gather after Iftar or enjoy late-night outings in an open-air setting.
Throughout the month, destinations will be decorated with traditional Ramadan themes. Glowing lanterns, crescent moon graphics, warm ambient lighting and specialized photo installations will be placed throughout the park to create a calm and festive atmosphere that reflects the spirit of the season.
One of the key new additions this Ramadan is Multaqa Global Village, a free tented seating area inspired by traditional parliamentary gatherings. Designed to encourage social interaction, the space offers comfortable seating, soft colored lighting and a welcoming layout where visitors can stop, talk and spend time together.Multaqa is located in front of the main stage and guests can bring food from nearby kiosks and hire traditional games from the on-site team, providing a relaxing experience for Eid, Suhoor or a late night visit.
There will be a series of carefully curated live entertainment on the main stage during Ramadan Night. Performances include orchestral, oud, harp, harp and violin music, as well as traditional Tannoura performances.
Akher Kalam, hosted by Maitha Mohammed, will be held from February 18 to March 18 at 11 pm. The Al Mandoos Live Game Show hosted by Abdulla Esmaeel will take place for three consecutive weekends starting from Friday 20th February at 9.30pm. A special drone show is also planned for February 20 at 9:30 p.m.
Visitors can explore 250 dining options offering global flavors of Iftar and Suhoor. Shopping spans 30 cultural centers representing more than 90 cultures, while the Ramadan Step Challenge returns via the Global Village app, rewarding guests who complete 10,000 steps in one go.
