Dozens arrested at Tommy Robinson march in London; Elon Musk calls UK ‘prison island’

Tommy Robinson marches in London

London has witnessed one of the biggest security operations in recent years as tens of thousands of people gathered for far-right activist Tommy Robinson’s “United Kingdom” march, alongside a massive pro-Palestinian Nakba Day rally. The demonstrations prompted a £4.5m police operation amid fears of violent clashes between rival groups.According to the Independent, the Metropolitan Police said that at least 43 people were arrested for “various offenses” in the two incidents, but authorities said that the demonstrations were “largely without major incidents.”Police also said several other hate crime charges related to pro-Palestinian protests remain under investigation.More than 4,000 police officers, supported by 660 personnel recruited from forces outside London, are deployed across the capital.Authorities are also using police horses, dogs, drones, helicopters and armored vehicles to prepare for what officials describe as an “unprecedented” security challenge.

Elon Musk Calling Britain a “prison island”

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has once again criticized the UK government and free speech laws in response to the incidents.Musk responded to Robinson by posting on“No more prison island!!” he added.Robinson wrote in response to Musk’s remarks: “Thank you as always Elon for saving free speech and giving the world a true 360-degree view of everything. None of this would be possible without X. We will unite the Kingdom and the West.” The future belongs to patriots. “Musk has repeatedly criticized the British government’s handling of immigration and free speech issues, and has previously claimed that the UK risks becoming George Orwell’s “worst nightmare”.

Union flags and anti-Starmer chants dominate Robinson rally

Robinson’s supporters marched through central London waving Union flags and chanting slogans including “We want Starmer out” and “Tommy, Tommy, Tommy Robinson”.Several demonstrators wore red hats that read “Make England Great Again” while others held up wooden crosses and chanted “Christ is King”.Robinson addressed supporters from a podium in Parliament Square, asking followers to become politically active ahead of the UK’s next general election in 2029.“Are you ready for the Battle of Britain?” he asked the crowd. “If we don’t send a message in the next election … we will lose our country forever.”Media personality Katie Hopkins, former TV presenter Ant Middleton, actor-turned-activist Laurence Fox and former Conservative MP Andrew Bridgen also spoke.
