Did Trump just name Erica Kirk to the Defense Department?

Charlie KirkHe founded the conservative group Turning Point USA and was a member of the visiting committee and attended a meeting before he was assassinated in September. He was shot to death on Sept. 10 at a college event in Orem, Utah.

Since his death, his wife, Ericaserves as CEO of Turning Point USA. The organization claims to have more than 800 chapters on college campuses across the country. Additionally, it hosted an alternative halftime show during the Super Bowl featuring Kid Rock.

“Erica is the right person to fill Charlie’s position on the Board of Trustees and continue his work of inspiring the next generation of service members and advancing the Academy,” said Rep. Pfluger. “I look forward to working with her and continuing Charlie’s legacy.”

The board has not publicly announced her appointment. However, her name is now listed among the members.

During his brief tenure on the board, Charlie Kirk highlighted delays in church construction and urged the institution to pay attention to the differences between the United States and other countries.

“These cadets must know that we are the greatest nation that has ever existed,” he said at the August board meeting.
