New Delhi: Delhi Capitals captain Axar Patel won the toss and opted to play first against Lucknow Super Giants in Wednesday’s IPL match and relied on early help from the new stadium. With both teams fielding strong lineups, the game promises to be a balanced battle between bat and ball. However, one notable omission is Arjun Tendulkar, who has not found a place in either the starting XI or the bench. Sachin Tendulkar’s son was traded to LSG ahead of mini-auction but remains on the sidelines.

Aksa explained the decision to bowl first and added, “We are going to bowl first. A fresh wicket in the first game, which is a red solid wicket, might help in the first six overs. Statistics show that a lot of games are won by the team batting first, but we thought this was the first game and we would bowl. ” He also confirmed Delhi’s overseas pairing, adding, “Nisanka, Miller, Stubbs and Lungi Ngidi, our four overseas players.”Delhi Capitals’ starting XI has KL Rahul behind the stumps with Pathum Nissanka and Nitish Rana at the top. Axar carries all-round responsibility in the team and is supported by power hitters David Miller and Tristan Stubbs in the middle order. Their bowling attack includes Kuldeep Yadav, T Natarajan, Mukesh Kumar and Ngidi, which gives them variety in terms of pace and spin.Lucknow Supergiants, by Ritha Pantselected a strong overseas core, including Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, Nicholas Pooran and Anrich Nortje. You know, we’ve changed our colors, our logo, and of course our mentality. “Reflecting on last season’s struggles, he added, “We’re hoping to learn from last season, but I think the bowlers are really fit and ready…everyone is willing to come in and make an impact.”
