Delhi High Commission directs Tamil media to remove defamatory content against Isha Foundation, Sadhguru

In response, the foundation filed a defamation suit in the Delhi High Court in 2024, seeking removal of such content and an injunction barring future publication of similar material.Isha filed an interim application in the matter, seeking immediate removal of the content mentioned in the suit and the content published during the transfer petition before the Supreme Court, and seeking restraint on further publication of such material. The application came up for hearing in December 2025, during which the Delhi High Court reserved its order after hearing arguments from both parties.In the order issued today, the court directed that the impugned videos and articles posted by Nakkheeran regarding Isha Foundation and Sadhguru be removed.“We wholeheartedly welcome this interim order from the Delhi High Court. It is unfortunate that certain media outlets and individuals continue to spread false and defamatory allegations without any evidence, deliberately misleading the public,” Isha Foundation said in a statement.“For more than three decades, the Isha Foundation has been committed to large-scale social development and human well-being, and its work has impacted the lives of hundreds of millions of people around the world. It is this work that these coordinated attacks seek to undermine. Isha will continue to take all appropriate legal action against those responsible. No slander or orchestrated misinformation will deter our efforts for the welfare of humanity.In March 2025, the Delhi High Court directed YouTube user Shyam Meera Singh to delete a defamatory video that made false accusations against Sadhguru and Isha Foundation. Following a court order, the YouTuber removed the misleading video.
