Delhi CM unveils statue of RSS founder at East Delhi Hospital | India News

The unveiling ceremony was held at Hedgewar Arogya Sansthan Hospital in Shahdara district to mark the 100th anniversary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).“It is a huge source of inspiration for us that the Delhi government is installing a statue of such a tall personality on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the RSS,” the chief minister said.RSS was founded in Nagpur on September 27, 1925 by Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, a doctor from Maharashtra. The organization started with just one “shakha” (branch) and has grown over the years to become a huge organization in the country.Gupta said the vision and mission launched by Hedgewar have grown into a “strong and broad” organization dedicated to serving the country. His approach to organizing society through character building laid a “strong foundation” for India’s cultural awakening, she said, adding that the statue installed at the institute is not just a memorial but a continuing source of inspiration embodying the spirit of service, devotion and ‘nation first’.The Chief Minister said Hedgewar Hospital has been serving the people of the trans-Yamuna region for decades. Gupta further said that the government will implement the expansion of the hospital by adding another floor and equipping it with latest machines in the coming days. The event was attended by Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh and several BJP MPs, including Shahdara MLA Sanjay Goyal, along with other public representatives, doctors, paramedics and citizens. The Chief Minister further informed that all government hospitals in Delhi are now fully digitalised. She said every patient has a digital health record, online OPD appointment facility has been introduced and complete treatment history can be accessed at the click of a button at any hospital. She expressed her belief that Dr. Hedgewar’s statue will bring inspiration to the hospital’s doctors and staff, motivating them to work with renewed vigor and service every day.
