Caleb Burke, the brother of singer D4vd, has finally spoken out after social media rumors and tabloid reports implicated him in a case involving Celeste Rivas Hernandez. In two Instagram Stories shared on May 7, Caleb vehemently denied claims that he helped Celeste get backstage at a D4vd concert a few years ago. He also accused outlets such as TMZ and the Daily Mail of accusing him of exploiting the situation to gain attention for his music career. Caleb explained that many people online incorrectly said he knew what was going on around his brother and was protecting him. However, he said this was simply wrong. Caleb clarified that he hasn’t lived with D4vd in years and that the two weren’t close growing up. According to him, they only spoke occasionally when visiting relatives or traveling. The controversy sparked when TMZ published a report on May 5 that Caleb was preparing to release music focused on romance and relationships while D4vd faced serious legal troubles related to the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Caleb responded that people are spreading false stories without knowing the full story. He also emphasized that his focus remains on seeking justice for Celeste, not defending himself.
In an Instagram story, Caleb addressed directly an old concert video that’s been circulating online. Some social media users claimed that the clip showed him secretly taking Celeste backstage during a D4vd concert. Caleb denied the accusation and explained what actually happened.According to Caleb, Celeste was already attending the concert before the moment she appeared backstage in the video. He said they were asked to take an item from a fan near the stage and the video only shows them walking back afterwards. Caleb added that he was only 15 at the time and barely knew Celeste. He wrote in full: “People posted a video of me backstage at a d4vd concert with her when I was 15 and I’ve been wanting to address this. People even said I snuck up on her backstage, which is not true. “Caleb also refuted claims that he suddenly started making music after headlines about his brother resurfaced. He explained that he has been sharing music online for the past three or four years. He added that he even took a break from music for more than six months due to the emotional stress of the situation. The 18-year-old also revealed that he changed his online name from “cvleb” to “Kova” because he didn’t want his identity to be associated with controversy. Caleb said the first music he would release under his new name had been planned before the media began to focus on his brother again. At the end of his statement, Caleb said music has always been important to him and he was just trying to build his future rather than use tragedy to gain attention.
