CSK signs former KKR coach ahead of IPL 2026

New Delhi: james fosterHe served as the fielding coach and assistant coach of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) from 2020 to 2023 and has been appointed as the new fielding coach of Kolkata Knight Riders chennai super kings Ahead of the 2026 Indian Premier League season. The former England wicketkeeper-batsman joins an experienced coaching staff led by head coach Stephen Fleming. The support staff also includes batting coach Michael Hussey and bowling coach Eric Simmons.

Foster, 45, played seven Tests, 11 ODIs and five T20 Internationals for the England national cricket team between 2001 and 2009. After retiring, he turned to coaching and gained experience with a number of international teams, including the England and New Zealand national cricket teams.He is also involved in franchise cricket leagues around the world. Foster helped the Desert Vipers win the I-League T20 title earlier this year. Additionally, he served as an assistant coach for the Birmingham Phoenix in the Top 100 team.CSK welcomed him through a social media post after announcing his appointment.CSK said in a social media post: “Hats off to our fielding coach James Foster!
