Chick-fil-A shooting in Union, NJ: Mass shooting leaves many injured; horrific videos emerge

Local news outlets added that authorities were investigating the incident, where multiple shootings were reported to have occurred in or near the area, which was crowded at the time.

After the gunshots were fired, many people fled to safety, causing panic at the time. At least six people were reportedly shot and one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Others were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Their status remains unknown.

The Union County Prosecutor’s Office is conducting the investigation. Authorities provided no suspect details or revealed a possible motive for the shooting.

Terrifying footage from the scene showed a heavy police presence in front of the Chick-fil-A in Union Township.

One video showed numerous police cars parked in front of the agency with their lights on. “Multiple people were shot and killed at a Chick-fil-A restaurant in New Jersey,” the post read.

Another added, “Looks like a Chick-fil-A shooting at the Combined Fire Police EMS and Paramedic Response Center.”

The video shows the vehicle driving slowly with a large number of police stationed in front.

Some people reacted to news of the Chick-fil-A shooting. One person commented on Facebook: “Does anyone know what happened? Praying for everyone involved, I saw those poor workers running down Route 22 in fear.”

Another added: “We just passed… Praying for the victims and loved ones.” Another commented: “This is sad and people always wonder why certain companies don’t want to open in New Jersey.”

A page on X reshared video of the incident and additional “There is a heavy police, fire and EMS response on scene. Details of victims and suspects are still emerging – stay safe and avoid the area.”

The incident also prompted many to “pray” for those involved. One person who once lived in Uniontown recalled how they frequented the fast-food chain there. “That was my go-to place when I lived there,” they said on Facebook.

Another shared a near-shaving experience, commenting that the incident occurred when “we were walking by and my teenage son begged us to stop and get some sauce.” They added: “My heart goes out to all those injured or killed.”
