Chain placed at the end of Nancy Guthrie’s driveway? New photos spark buzz, “More questions…”

“It was reported that a chain had been placed at the end of Nancy Guthrie’s driveway, which immediately raised questions among those following the case closely,” the X post read. “Coincidence? Security? Related to the investigation? More questions than answers at this stage.”

Another post with a photo of the chain store read: “As public attention to the case continues to grow, chain stores can now be seen surrounding the property. Investigators still have not released major answers or an update on the disappearance of the 84-year-old woman.”

As the photo shows, it’s unclear why the chain was placed.

“I know we have unknown DNA and don’t know who the contributors or depositors were, but I think they’re getting closer to finding out who it was,” he said.

Nanos also pushed back against suggestions that Guthrie’s case has become a “cold case.” He said the matter only became a cold case after the lab told them they couldn’t identify the blood evidence.

“When the lab tells us, ‘Hey, there’s nothing we can do,’ then maybe we have a problem… We have a cold case… but right now, the lab is not telling us that,” he said.
