Records show that “Congressman Swalwell” made two payments of $539.70 each to the hotel on July 12, 2021, which were listed as “travel expenses.” A forensic report later determined that the video was recorded in the early morning hours of July 13, 2021. The video shows an adult man kissing a woman on what appears to be a hotel room bed.
Forensic analysis found that the videos were recorded at 4:46 a.m. and 4:55 a.m. Pacific time on July 13, 2021, according to metadata. The company also determined that the clip was filmed in Las Vegas using Apple devices, Newsweek reported.
Newsweek reviewed publicly released photos of the Las Vegas Cosmopolitan hotel room and compared them to what was seen in the video. Details such as the room layout, furniture, blue bed skirt, lowered ceiling section and glass panels next to the bed look similar. The floor plan of the hotel’s two-bed “City Room” also closely matches the room shown in the video. However, Newsweek said it could not independently confirm that the video was shot in the same room paid for by the campaign.
The videos, widely shared on social media, show a man kissing an unidentified woman in a hotel room as the two lie in bed together. According to one of the videos, parts of another person are visible newsweek.
