The FBI also doubled the reward for information leading to the whereabouts of Nancy Guthrie, from $50,000 to $100,000.
Meanwhile, a video circulating on social media falsely claimed that a body was found in Pima County, Arizona, during a search and that the body “bears a resemblance” to Guthrie and has yet to be identified.
This statement is wrong. The video appears to be artificially generated and comes from an untrustworthy source. There have been no confirmed reports of a body being found and the investigation remains ongoing with a focus on safely locating Nancy Guthrie.
