The BJP will contest the 2027 Uttarakhand Assembly elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, National President Nitin Nabin said.Nabin said the party will make Dhami its face for the 2027 elections, indicating the BJP’s strategy for the state elections.Speaking to a Hindi news channel, he said the Dhami government focused on development and governance, referring to administrative transparency and delivery of basic facilities in remote areas. He also said that Uttarakhand has made progress in recent years while pointing out that every state faces challenges.The statement comes amid earlier comments by senior BJP leaders on Dhami’s leadership.During his visit to Dehradun, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Dhami’s work. At an event in Haldwani, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh called him a “formidable leader”.During his visit to Haridwar, Home Minister Amit Shah also termed the state government’s policies as people-centric and expressed confidence in the hat-trick victory of the BJP.
