In an official statement, BCCI congratulated the players, support staff and selectors for their achievement and wished them continued success. The board described the victory as “a powerful reflection of the depth of cricket in this country and the structures that nurture talent and sustain excellence at the highest level.”BCCI president Mithun Manhas hailed the achievement as a moment of immense pride for the country. “Being defending champion and accomplishing this feat in your hometown makes it even more special,” he said. With this win, India now have 14 ICC trophies in the senior and under-19 categories, surpassing Australia’s 13 trophies, and become the most successful team in the history of the T20 World Cup.
