Bangladesh’s albino buffaloes, which bear a resemblance to global leaders US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, have become a major attraction in the run-up to Eid al-Adha, with crowds gathering daily at cattle ranches in Narayanganj near the capital Dhaka to catch a glimpse of the unusual animals. One of the buffaloes, a 700kg albino named after Donald Trump, went viral on social media as visitors described its resemblance to the US president. The buffalo was named “Donald Trump” because of his blond hair and facial appearance, The Independent reported.“When I saw his photo on Facebook, he looked exactly like Donald Trump. His facial structure and even his hairstyle matched Trump’s,” one tourist told local newspaper Prothom Alo.“Buffalo are very calm and polite by nature,” she added jokingly, “which is definitely not Donald Trump’s style.”Ziauddin Mridha, the buffalo’s owner, said a large number of people come to the farm every day to take photos and watch the buffalo.“My brother jokingly named it Donald Trump after seeing the hair on its head,” he said, according to The Independent. “It is very peaceful in nature. Albino buffalo are generally peaceful and do not become aggressive unless provoked.”According to reports, the buffalo has been sold for Tk 550 per kilogram and will be delivered to the new owner before Eid.Another attention-grabbing albino buffalo in Narayanganj was named after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The buffalo reportedly weighed over 750 kilograms and was known for its aggressive behavior. Local reports said the animal’s hair and eyes resembled Netanyahu’s appearance.Local media quoted one tourist as saying: “I came here after hearing about the buffalo.”A manager at the SS Cattle Farm said the buffalo, named Netanyahu, was difficult to handle.“Netanyahu is very mischievous and mentally cunning. Even if we go to feed him, he snorts and tries to stab us,” the manager said. The farm is home to six albino buffalo, all of which are known for their moody behavior.“Large crowds come every day to see them,” the manager added.
