“This morning, at the opening of our Cabinet meeting, I spoke about my dear friend Prime Minister @narendramodi’s historic visit to Israel next Wednesday. 🇮🇱🤝🇮🇳. The bond between Israel and India is a strong alliance between two global leaders. We are partners in innovation, security and a shared strategic vision. Together we are building an axis of nations committed to stability and progress,” Netanyahu posted on X.Netanyahu also emphasized that the partnership between Israel and India is expanding to cover areas ranging from artificial intelligence to regional cooperation.Earlier on Sunday, the Israeli Prime Minister praised India’s growing global influence ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit. Referring to the close ties between New Delhi and Tel Aviv, Netanyahu said on Twitter that the visit would “express” the special relationship that has been established in recent years between Israel and India, as well as between himself and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.On the diplomatic front, Netanyahu shared his vision for a network of regional alliances, describing it as a “hexagon” encompassing India, Arab and African countries, Mediterranean countries such as Greece and Cyprus, and parts of Asia. He said he plans to present the framework in a more detailed and organized manner in the future. This will be Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s second visit to Israel, following his landmark visit in 2017, making him the first Indian Prime Minister to visit the country. The visit comes amid developments related to the February 19 Peace Council meeting, an initiative of former US President Donald Trump’s 20-point Gaza ceasefire plan, endorsed by the United Nations Security Council. The initiative has since grown in scope, with officials saying about 35 countries have pledged to join and about 60 more have been invited. Trump said the agency could eventually take on some of the functions currently performed by the United Nations.
