Arundel Mills: Reports of man with gun at Maryland mall spark shooting fears; first details

Anne Arundel First Alert report Some customers had to be evacuated from the mall, while others stayed and sheltered in place. The fire department has been asked to search for a “single assault victim,” according to their report, but said the victim has not yet been found.

alone Facebook“Oh my God, I’m not in Arundel Mills Mall anymore,” he said, claiming he was there. They claimed a man with a gun tried to shoot into the mall. The person added: “This is a man with a gun trying to shoot into the mall here, we all have to run out of the mall, my fat ass is gone, I hope everything is okay, the police here are horrible right now.”

Others who said they were there also shared their experiences. “Again, when we left the cinema everyone was running away!” one person added. Another said: “We’re stuck in the car park and want to get out.”

“I can’t even eat my appetizer because there’s an open shooter inside Arundel Mills,” one person commented. Another shared the report explain “There was a shooting at Arundel Mills. Everyone started running and we were on lockdown. *Unconfirmed* Update: We were out and walking to the truck. Everything was at a standstill. Heavy police presence on the casino/food court side and helicopters overhead.”

Police have yet to make an official comment on the matter.

Another one warn Others are advised not to go to the mall for the time being due to the events taking place there.

On Facebook, one person shared how people were fleeing the mall. “We were there too. Just outside of Burlington when everyone rushed out,” they noted. Meanwhile, another article on a platform owned by Meta explain “Check your people…there just was a shooting at Arundel Mills Mall. They are evacuating the mall right now.”

So does everyone else explain The platform said the mall had been “evacuated” due to the “shooting incident.” One person noted on the live stream, “We just witnessed two shootings targeting Dave and Nemesis at the Arundel Mills Mall and are now talking about them locking Nick and Kelly in the mall so we can’t catch them.”

However, there is currently no official word on the injured or suspects in the incident. At the same time, another person wrotelamented “I was at the Arundel Mills Mall and there was supposedly an active shooter or shooting and the whole mall was empty, people were crying, police cars and ambulances and french fries were everywhere and everyone was running. What has happened to the world? This is not the Arundel Mills I remember.”
