Amit Shah on Humayun Kabir: ‘BJP cannot ally with those who want Babri to rule Bengal’

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah On Friday, rumors regarding the controversial video of the former TMC leader were strongly refuted. We can never be together. ” news agency ANI quoted Shah as saying.The Union Home Minister said the BJP would rather stay in opposition for 20 years than form an alliance with Humayun Kabir, who came into limelight for promising to build Babri Masjid in Bengal.“We would rather stay in opposition for 20 years than sit with those who talk about building Babri Masjid in Bengal,” Amit Shah said.Kabir also denied the allegations and said the video was fabricated and generated through artificial intelligence.“I have no agreement with anyone. The clip circulated by the Trinamool Congress does not show who is sitting opposite me or the context in which these remarks were made,” he said.He also tried to turn the tables on the ruling party by invoking the Constitution. I will not back down from the fight I have started,” he said.The controversy was triggered by an alleged 19-minute video circulated by the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Thursday, which allegedly showed Kabir mentioning a secret understanding with the BJP.The authenticity of the video, which could not be independently verified, purportedly shows a Kabir-like figure claiming to be close to opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.The person also said he was ready to oust Mamata Banerjee “at any cost” and had received Rs 200 crore in advance as part of a larger Rs 1,000-crore arrangement.Citing the video, the TMC alleged that Kabir’s anti-Mamatha stance and his efforts to build a Muslim political front were part of a covert strategy by the BJP to split minority votes in key districts like Murshidabad, Malda, Uttar Dinajpur and Birbhum.However, the BJP was quick to distance itself from Kabir.
