Airspace closures continue: Qatar Airways extends flight grounding World News

Due to the continued closure of the State of Qatar’s airspace, Qatar Airways flights remain suspended and passengers are advised not to travel to the airport unless they receive official confirmation regarding their flight. Passengers will receive another official update on the situation on March 7, 2026 at 09:00 AM Doha time (06:00 AM UTC).Qatar Airways is working around the clock to organize additional relief flights as soon as operating conditions allow services to be restored. These flights will be scheduled as soon as authorities confirm it is safe to operate again.Qatar Airways will contact passengers affected by the suspension directly to update them on their flights, travel arrangements and procedures to be followed. Travelers are also urged not to travel to the airport unless they receive formal notification of a confirmed flight.For passengers currently in Doha, Qatar Airways representatives will assist with inquiries about relief flights and travel arrangements at designated hotels.Passengers are also asked to ensure their contact information is updated so they can receive important notifications. Details can be updated via the Qatar Airways website or the airline’s mobile app.The airline reiterated that the safety of its passengers and crew remains its top priority, apologized for the inconvenience caused by circumstances beyond its control and thanked passengers for their patience and understanding as the situation continued to evolve.
