It is unclear how many passengers were on board the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
“We confirm that our Hyderabad to Phuket flight experienced a nose wheel issue at Phuket Airport on March 11,” Air India Express said in a statement. The nose wheel is a key component of the aircraft landing gear system.According to Flightradar24, flight IX 938 took off from Hyderabad at 6:42 am, slightly later than its scheduled departure time of 6:20 am, and arrived in Phuket at 11:40 am local time.“The crew followed all standard protocols and the passengers deplaned,” the airline added in a statement.
