Abu Dhabi confirms ballistic missile fragments landed on Swehan Street

A missile interception incident over Abu Dhabi took its toll today, with falling debris hitting a busy road, killing two people and injuring three others. The incident raised concerns about the risks posed even during successful air defense operations.According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, debris fell on Swehan Street after the Emirati air defense system intercepted the ballistic missile. Two victims have not been identified and three others were injured. Several cars were also damaged in the incident.Authorities confirmed the missile had been successfully intercepted, but debris from the operation landed in densely populated areas, causing casualties and property damage. After the investigation of the incident began, the emergency response team rushed to the scene.In a statement shared on X, the Abu Dhabi Media Office said further updates would be provided as more information becomes available.
