Jaishankar intervened. He said in a post on“The government has failed to create enough jobs at home, forcing Indian laborers to travel to Israel in search of jobs. The government celebrates the ‘friendship’ between India and Israel while sending Indian laborers to Israel. Will he raise the issue of racist and violent attacks on Indian citizens in Israel?” he asked.According to TRT World, the incident occurred as India chose not to join more than 80 countries in issuing a joint statement at the United Nations criticizing Israel’s settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank.Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Israel next week, his second trip to the country since 2017.
