If that wasn’t enough, Takunda Madembo laid the foundation for a staggering 302 runs in 143 deliveries, hitting 50 boundaries and seven sixes before retiring after batting for 272 minutes.The carnage didn’t stop there. Gabriel Jaya scored an unbeaten 110 runs at 224.49 off just 49 balls, while Vincent Moyo scored a quick 78 off 39 deliveries.Scorpions Cricket Club ended up with a score of 822/4 in 50 overs with an incredible run rate of 16.44 per over.In the first innings, the pitch looked perfect for batting, but when the Methane Lions started chasing, the pitch suddenly turned into a bowlers’ paradise. Their winning percentage dropped to 28/7, with a defeat of 794 runs.

The currently recognized top scorer in Group A is Bihar, who posted 574/6 against Arunachal Pradesh in Ranchi during the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi smashed 190 off a total of 84 balls in that match.Before this unprecedented attack, only a handful of teams had crossed the 500-run mark in official 50-over cricket matches.
